Job Description:

A specialist legal practice based in Nottingham is currently seeking an experienced Insurance Solicitor to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Insurance Solicitor to work on a diverse caseload with a firm known for its expertise in insurance litigation and regulatory matters. The role would suit an Insurance Solicitor with a strong background in handling insurance claims, coverage disputes, and advisory work for both claimant and defendant clients.

Job Responsibility:

  • Managing a varied caseload of contentious and non-contentious insurance matters
  • Advising on policy interpretation
  • Handling litigation through the County and High Courts
  • Representing clients in arbitration and mediation
  • Supporting insurers and reinsurers with strategic advice
  • Liaising directly with underwriters, brokers, and corporate clients
  • Assisting with business development initiatives and client training programmes

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales (2+ years PQE preferred)
  • Strong experience in insurance law, ideally within a dedicated insurance or commercial litigation team
  • Experience in policy wording, indemnity issues, and regulatory compliance advantageous
  • Solid understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules and relevant case law
  • Excellent analytical and drafting skills
  • A proactive, collaborative approach to client work
