Job Responsibility:

Manage the financial reporting team producing entity level financial reporting, whilst ensuring controls are applied across all operational accounting processes
Manage each period end close and balance sheet account substantiation
Handle all accounting issues and judgements, implementing solutions for new products and accounting standard requirements
Oversee local and global regulatory and tax reporting, ensuring timely and quality submissions
Implement global processes in local operational accounting activities
Work with a team across multiple jurisdictions and entities, including Reinsurance, Captive Insurance, and direct High Net-Worth entities, writing both Life and Property & Casualty Insurance

Requirements:

Recognised professional accountancy qualification (e.g., CA, ACCA, CPA etc.)
Understanding and experience of insurance financial reporting under International Financial Reporting Standards
Experience of Bermuda insurance regulatory reporting across multiple license categories
Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with senior management
Sound awareness of Information Technology and data, with the ability to implement efficient processes
Ability to lead a team of qualified professionals in a deadline driven environment
Demonstrated critical thinking, organisational and time management skills
