Job Description:

In this role, you will provide logistics advisory, planning and integration experience to complex construction and infrastructure programmes. Working closely with client and delivery teams, you will help diagnose logistics challenges, reduce delivery risk and enhance programme certainty, either as a short-term advisor or as an embedded member of a delivery team. This position suits someone who enjoys working in live construction environments, can understand complex delivery issues, and communicates clear, practical and actionable advice.

Job Responsibility:

  • Developing, reviewing and assuring logistics plans covering workforce, vehicle movements, access, welfare and site space
  • Identifying logistics risks and constraints, including conflicts, capacity pressures and operational pinch points
  • Working alongside project teams as a dedicated logistics specialist
  • Advising clients on logistics strategy, feasibility and delivery risk, ensuring alignment with programme objectives
  • Providing clear, data‑led insights to support programme- and portfolio‑level decisions
  • Identifying opportunities to improve logistics processes, tools and ways of working across programmes and projects

Requirements:

  • 10–20 years' professional experience in logistics, construction, infrastructure, consulting or project/programme delivery
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability
  • Experience operating in complex, constrained or live project environments
  • Ability to build effective relationships and communicate clearly with delivery teams and senior stakeholders
  • Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of market drivers
  • A practical, delivery‑focused mindset with an emphasis on execution
  • Confidence, independence and a proactive approach

Nice to have:

  • Experience in logistics planning, modelling or forecasting
  • Experience working in advisory roles or embedded project positions
  • Client relationship management capability
