Job Description:

Infrastructure Engineer who is an Intune SME specialist (3-month contract) based in North Lancashire, with 3 days onsite weekly requirements. This is a mostly on-site contract role and will require you to be within 1 hour’s drive of the client HQ, which is in North Lancashire. This is a short-term, delivery-focused contract. The customer will be looking for someone who can hit the ground running with minimal handholding, as they will be looking to pass over a good deal of these Infrastructure projects to you.

Job Responsibility:

  • Server Migration & Upgrades
  • Migration of servers and Exchange replacements/upgrades
  • Migration of Virtualization servers running on VMware to Nutanix
  • Endpoint Management & Cloud Tools
  • Network Segregation & IP Changes
  • General Onsite IT Support
  • Support the helpdesk team when on-site
  • Mentoring of junior team members and apprentices

Requirements:

  • Experience around modern Intune-led environments
  • Hybrid identity
  • Operating at scale
  • Stronger knowledge around Intune and cloud security to support a hybrid approach
  • Experience with Nutanix or similar infrastructure
  • Real-world migration projects delivered or supported
  • Hands-on with Intune, Autopilot, Azure AD, and M365
  • Device provisioning, policy management, and troubleshooting sync/auth issues
  • Implementation of VLANs or segregation work
  • Changing server IPs – awareness of dependencies, DNS updates
  • Methodical approach, risk awareness, and testing
  • Collaborative, team-first attitude
  • Mentoring of junior team members and apprentices
  • Must live within 1 hours commutable drive of client HQ
