Job Description:

The Infrastructure Analyst 2 is an intermediate level role responsible for assisting with LAN / WAN and help desk administration activities, including network maintenance, technical guidance, and security in coordination with the Technology Infrastructure team. The overall objective is to use infrastructure technology knowledge and identified policies to process data, resolve issues and execute administrative tasks.

Job Responsibility:

Diagnose and resolve problems through evaluative judgment, troubleshooting and analysis
Ensure successful completion of data loads and batch processing
Participate in testing activities, including the creation and execution of basic test scripts
Execute project plan task
Participate in control activities (risk, self-assessment, COB, audit, etc.) and make recommendations for enhancements
Evaluate issues using existing procedures or similar/related experiences
recommend and implement solutions
Exchange ideas and information in a concise and clear manner
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made
Maintain current updates to the ServiceNow (workflow) and inventory systems
Assist with the daily coordination of installs, de-installs and redeployed equipment with the onsite DCSD (Data Center Service Delivery)
Ensure accurate and concise documentation of inventory is maintained
Ensure that all equipment is properly labeled and bar coded within 24 hours of arrival
Ensure that proper power requirements are satisfied (as per hardware specifications) for each device
Maintain asset management policies and procedures throughout device lifecycle
Update the monthly corporate fixed asset list
Maintain the cabinet inventory and plan for future installations of cabinets
Assist in supporting all disaster recovery/continuity of business tests that affect the site
Assist in the coordination of project related activities outside of BAU activities
Participate in and coordinate all physical asset reconciliation efforts

Requirements:

0-2 years of experience in a Technology Infrastructure role
Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audience
Ability to work with virtual and in-person teams, and work under pressure or to a deadline
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Effective analytic/diagnostic skills
Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
High School Diploma, or Higher Degree in computer systems or informatics and equivalent experience
Experience in Data Center environment is a plus
Minimum of 3+ years of prior data center operations experience
Strong understanding of data center strategies, tools and effective troubleshooting techniques
Hands-on individual with multiple hardware platform knowledge (HP, EMC, IBM)
Basic background on enterprise data center facilities and infrastructure environments such as PDUs, RPPs, network and SAN infrastructures
Good interpersonal skills and ability to multi task
Excellent Communication and Writing skills
Knowledge of problem and change reporting systems, project process and associated tools
Logical problem solving techniques and associated experience in systems, data center facilities and telecommunications
Enterprise project management skills preferred
Experience in the Financial Services industry is a plus
Mastering of advanced Microsoft Excel
Experience working on process-based environments
English (50%), it’s necessary to be able to keep a fluid conversation for interaction with Global Teams
Ability to lift/move 25 kg of equipment and work with other people and tools for heavier components
