Job Description:

KAYAK is looking for a forward-thinking and hardworking Infrastructure Operations Engineer to join their Operations team in Berlin. The role encompasses a range of responsibilities including supporting development and production environments, triaging inbound tickets, provisioning resources, and being part of an on-call rotation. The position also requires hands-on experience with technologies such as Linux, Ansible, Kubernetes, and monitoring tools like Kibana. Job Responsibility:

Process and triage inbound tickets from developers and business teams
Audit the monitoring of our production hosting platform
Coordinate the receipt and installation of server hardware in the data centers
Provide Linux-based operating systems
Work with the security team to execute security patching procedures
Schedule and perform regular upgrades of production software and operating systems
Provisioning of production resources in response to demand
Be part of an on-call rotation

Requirements:

A university degree in Information Technology or equivalent certification (CKA, CKAD)
A strong understanding of Linux systems & knowledge of Linux shell scripting
Hands-on experience in Deploying On-prem Kubernetes Infrastructure
Good knowledge of end-to-end data center operations
Hands-on experience in writing Ansible, Terraform and Puppet
Experience with JIRA / Atlassian products or other ticket systems
Experience with Logic Monitor or other monitoring technologies
Experience with Kibana / Elasticsearch
Meaningful experience in a similar role
