Job Description:

This role is responsible for the strategic sourcing and ongoing management of indirect spend categories to ensure optimal commercial value, cost efficiency, and supplier performance. The position plays a key role in driving cost optimisation, mitigating business risk, and ensuring contractual compliance across supplier agreements, KPIs, and SLAs.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve sourcing and category management strategies across indirect spend areas
  • Analyse spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities and deliver sustainable value improvement initiatives
  • Design and execute effective negotiation strategies to achieve commercially favourable outcomes
  • Conduct market analysis, supplier benchmarking, and scenario planning to support sourcing decisions
  • Monitor supplier dynamics and proactively respond to changes in market power or risk exposure
  • Support financial planning through effective budget input and cost management
  • Deliver agreed annual savings and value targets within GNFR categories
  • Manage supplier contracts, including performance measurement against KPIs and SLAs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to procurement policies and processes
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory, sustainability, and quality standards (e.g. ISO, energy efficiency, CSR frameworks)
  • Collaborate across multiple business units to share market intelligence and support profitability initiatives

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working within cross-functional teams in a multi-business or matrix environment
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in an indirect procurement or category management role
  • Demonstrated success in delivering recurring annual savings and value targets
  • Experience operating within a lean or small team environment to maximise GNFR value
