Reporting to the Sales Manager, this Manager’s responsibilities are meeting segments-specific sales, and margin-targets, organizing, initiating, and leading all IKEA for Business sales activities in the country, to ensure that IKEA for Business optimizes the business opportunities in the market. He/she will ensure that IKEA for Business operates to the highest professional and ethical standards in all meetings with the customers, to uphold and strengthen IKEA’s reputation as a leading, trustworthy, and service oriented brand.
Job Responsibility:
proactively identify and contact larger potential clients, with focus on top segments, for acquiring of new customers, as well as for supporting the establishment of the qualitative and quantitative content of IKEA’s CRM system, which shall provide the base for all interactions with the customers
responsible for developing and implementing the Sales Strategy for IKEA for Business in the country, covering all focus customer segments
operate in close and positive coordination with Marketing and ensure tight and cost-efficient alignment between all marketing and sales activities, devise and establish on- and off-line promotional activities in support of sales within the different customer verticals
in cooperation with the Fulfilment function, oversee the execution of larger orders, and manage the communication and follow-up with the customers
responsible for follow-up and follow-through on all customer leads generated through any of the customer touchpoint, to ensure that customers experience that they are ‘attended to’ and that sales opportunities thereby are optimized
motivate and support the IKEA for Business Sales team and ensure that the frontline coworkers at the IKEA for Business store sales counters are supported and provided with all necessary tools required to operate efficiently when meeting the customers
together with the IKEA for Business Steering team members, develop and implement the membership loyalty program and oversee the population of data for the Philippines
ensure that IKEA’s competitive advantage within Sustainability is incorporated into the general sales message, in support of the overall image of IKEA for Business
Requirements:
5-7 years’ experience in sales to professional customers, with proven track record, preferably within interior furnishings, or related industries
enthusiastic, with strong desire to be part of a positive and challenging environment
energetic to steer the business towards long-term growth and profitability
interested in understanding the insights of reports and facts to identify proposed actions for improvement
enjoy working with others to create a positive and different-with-a-meaning solutions, in a fast-paced and future-oriented environment that is focused on people's everyday life at home
good commercial understanding of offline as well as online marketing/sales, as well as dynamics and opportunities within multi-channels sales
strong negotiation and commercial skills, with experience in sales, and in meeting larger customers/organizations at senior management levels
well-developed analytical and numerical skills, and ability to translate concepts into sales activities
passionate in home furnishing and actively learn about their features and benefits, and proactively share this knowledge with the customers and colleagues
