Job Description:

The Informatica IDMC DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing DevOps practices for Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) solutions. This role involves automating deployment processes, ensuring data pipeline reliability, optimizing cloud-based ETL workflows, and integrating IDMC with CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate must have a deep understanding of IDMC products, along with expertise in Lakehouse architecture, Microsoft Azure, and Synapse Analytics to support modern data engineering and analytics use cases.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Informatica IDMC deployments
  • Automate deployment, monitoring, and rollback strategies for Informatica Cloud Data Integration (CDI), Cloud Data Quality (CDQ), and Cloud Application Integration (CAI)
  • Automate deployment and configuration of IDMC assets, including Informatica Cloud Mappings, Taskflows, Data Quality Rules, and APIs
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools
  • Integrate IDMC with Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or other CI/CD tools
  • Deploy and integrate IDMC services with Azure, AWS, and GCP, ensuring seamless data movement and processing
  • Implement best practices for data integration and governance using IDMC’s data quality, lineage, and metadata management features
  • Optimize IDMC’s performance with Azure Synapse Analytics, ensuring efficient data ingestion, transformation, and processing within Lakehouse architectures
  • Enhance IDMC data pipelines with real-time streaming, event-driven processing, and API-based integrations
  • Implement security best practices for data governance, encryption, and access control
  • Set up logging, monitoring, and alerting for IDMC workflows, APIs, and integrations
  • Use tools like Dynatrace, or ELK stack for proactive monitoring
  • Optimize ETL workflows, mappings, and performance tuning for data pipelines
  • Ensure data security, encryption, and access controls in IDMC using Secure Agents, Data Masking, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
  • Automate Informatica IDMC administration tasks using Python, Shell, or PowerShell
  • Develop scripts for automated provisioning, configuration, and backup of IDMC components
  • Work closely with IDMC Business Engineers, Cloud Architects, and Security Teams
  • Establish and document DevOps best practices for IDMC deployments
  • Ensure compliance with data security and regulatory standards (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.)

Requirements:

  • Deep expertise in Informatica IDMC products, including CDI, CDQ, CAI, MDM, Axon, EDC
  • Hands-on experience with Informatica IDMC (CDGC, CDI, CDQ, CAI, Axon, or EDC)
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with Lakehouse architectures, integrating IDMC with Azure Synapse, Databricks, and ADLS
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Postman and microservices architectures
  • Scripting expertise in Python, Shell, PowerShell, or Groovy for automation
  • Strong understanding of data security, compliance, and governance
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in an agile, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Informatica Cloud Certification (IDMC, IICS, or CDI)
  • Experience with API management and integration
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow, JIRA, or ITSM tools for change management
