IBM Z Workload Scheduler Specialist Engineer

• Administer and maintain IBM Z Workload Scheduler infrastructure to ensure continuous and reliable service availability
• Implement and enforce compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirements for mainframe scheduling environments
• Perform configuration, upgrades, and patching of scheduling infrastructure in accordance with change management processes
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using REXX and other relevant tools to support infrastructure operations
• Collaborate with application, operations, and infrastructure teams to support business requirements and ensure alignment with compliance standards
• Document infrastructure procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for operational continuity and audit readiness
• Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution for scheduling infrastructure
• Provide on-call standby support and support occasional weekend maintenance activity

• Experience with IBM Z Workload Scheduler (IWS/TWSz/OPC) administration, configuration, and troubleshooting
• Proficiency in z/OS mainframe environments, including JCL, SDSF, and TSO/ISPF and REXX scripting language
• Knowledge of workload automation concepts, batch scheduling, and job dependencies
• Understanding of mainframe security frameworks such as ACF2 and RACF
• Familiarity with disaster recovery, backup, and restore procedures for scheduling environments
• Awareness of ITIL processes and compliance requirements in regulated environments

Experience with automation pipelines and tools such as Ansible and Jenkins
