We are looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Manager to join our team in Toledo, Ohio. This contract position requires a skilled individual with strong attention to detail to oversee HR operations, ensuring compliance, maintaining accurate records, and providing leadership to the HR team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in policy development, advising leadership, and managing compensation, benefits, and payroll functions.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and supervise a team of HR generalists, providing guidance and support in daily operations
Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations while maintaining accurate record-keeping practices
Review and update organizational policies to align with current standards and requirements
Advise the executive director on HR-related matters, ensuring they are informed of key updates and changes
Oversee compensation, benefits, and payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
Utilize HRIS tools, including Paycor, to manage employee data and streamline HR functions
Facilitate onboarding processes to ensure smooth transitions for new hires
Apply expertise in employee relations to address workplace concerns and foster a positive environment
Manage benefit functions to support employee well-being and satisfaction
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Proven experience in HR management, including overseeing generalists and leading teams
Strong knowledge of compliance standards and employment laws
Proficiency in HRIS systems, such as Paycor, and familiarity with Office 365
Excellent communication skills with the ability to advise leadership and resolve employee concerns
Solid understanding of compensation, benefits, and payroll processes
Experience with employee relations and onboarding initiatives
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and record-keeping abilities
