We are looking for a part-time detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team in Portsmouth, Virginia. This part-time role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in HR processes and administrative tasks. Job Responsibility:
Manage scheduling and calendar activities for the Chief of Administration to ensure smooth operations
Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes for employees, ensuring compliance with company policies
Create and update job descriptions to reflect organizational needs and changes
Conduct exit interviews to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement
Ensure labor law posters are accurate and displayed in compliance with regulations
Maintain familiarity with labor laws to support HR practices and decision-making
Develop and manage spreadsheets in Excel to organize and track HR-related data
Utilize Microsoft Outlook and Word to manage communications and documentation
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources or a related administrative role
Proficiency in calendar management and scheduling tools
Strong knowledge of onboarding and offboarding processes
Familiarity with labor laws and compliance requirements
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for spreadsheet creation and data management
Experience conducting exit interviews and analyzing feedback
Ability to draft and update job descriptions effectively
Competence in using Microsoft Outlook and Word for documentation and communication tasks
