Bachelors in electrical engineering, engineering related field or equivalent experience
Six (6) + years of automation experience
Proficiency in Allen Bradley programmable logic controller’s (PLC), human-machine interface’s (HMI), servo control, and electrical design
Computers, including programs such as Eplan, AutoCAD, Solid Works, Microsoft Office suite, etc.
Inspection and measuring tools such as scales, calipers, micrometers, multi-meters, dB meters, etc.

Job Responsibility

Lead the development of controls architecture system retrofits and optimize performance expectations
Program control systems for cam, servo, and air operated stations, along with test and electrical devices
Ensure the electrical design is functional, robust, and cost effective
Innovate and use good judgment to incorporate ATS Life Sciences Chicago standards and regulatory requirements
Research and specify appropriate purchased and preferred components
Create electrical wiring schematics, flow diagrams, panel layouts, bill of materials (BOM), organize release packages, and update schematics
Participate in internal and customer design reviews, installations, and service calls when needed
Provide estimates for controls engineering hours to design retrofits and upgrades on existing machines according to a customer and internal specification
Guide Electricians in wiring and codes
Support software validation requirements
