A ship management company operating across all types of vessels and offering a comprehensive range of services, from technical management to QHSE, including crew management, is currently seeking an HSEQ Manager to join its team.
Job Responsibility:
Establishing Company's policies
Ensuring safety, security, and environmental objectives are established and maintained
Conducting management reviews
Ensuring the availability of resources
Informing the Owner of significant safety, security, or pollution compliance issues
Ensuring full support to each Master and DPA
Ensuring the owner reports the entity responsible for ISM operation to the administration
Covering roles of COM, DPA, CSO and MCO
Establishing and controlling the company Safety Management System (SMS)
Liaising with flag administration
Monitoring Maritime regulations and adapting procedures
Ensuring company and managed vessels are aware of latest legislation
Carrying out controls on Shore-Based Management
Maintaining and reviewing the company SMS manual and shore based contingency plan
Supports Emergency response capability
Ensures shore personnel is taught about ISM and ISPS aspects
Day to day communications with managed vessels and Shore-Based Management
Master's appraisal on a yearly basis
Monitors crew evaluation
Promotes the Company's quality, health, safety, environment and security policy
Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives
Facilitates a safe, secured and healthy culture
Conducts or coordinate training in safety and security
Monitors security arrangements
Performs safety and security audits and inspect facilities
Performs other duties as assigned
Ensures the Company's SMS effectively implemented and maintained
Ensures the personnel is taught about ISM aspects
Liaise with the vessel’s master and ship's department heads daily
Monitors the safety and pollution-prevention aspects of the operation of each ship
Investigates accidents, near-miss incidents, and occupational injuries
Provides technical advice, coaching, guidance, and mentoring
Orders and maintains facility safety inventory
Ensures the ship's security Plans are effectively implemented and maintained
Ensures the personnel is taught about ISPS aspects
Ensures that security doesn't conflict with safety
Ensures that safety and health aspects from the MLC 2006 are implemented
