Are you a people-centric HR professional with a passion for hospitality? A leading group of companies in the Greek hotel industry, known for its prestigious resorts in Crete, is seeking a skilled and dedicated HR Manager to join its team. In this role, you will be responsible for the full spectrum of HR operations across the group’s hotel units, ensuring a seamless employee experience and fostering a positive, compliant, and efficient workplace culture. As an HR Manager, you will work closely with hotel management to support teams on-site and provide hands-on leadership in all HR functions, from employee relations to compliance, training, and benefits.
Job Responsibility:
Managing the full employee experience – from onboarding to offboarding – ensuring smooth and compliant HR operations across the hotel units
Overseeing staff benefits and welfare, including securing employee accommodation, managing housing contracts, and ensuring staff living spaces are properly maintained
Handling uniform distribution and collaborating with relevant departments to ensure all policies regarding uniforms and presentation are followed
Acting as the first point of contact for employee relations, resolving workplace conflicts and supporting team leaders in fostering a respectful and supportive culture
Implementing and monitoring HR policies and internal procedures to ensure compliance with Greek labor law and alignment with company standards
Organizing and coordinating employee training programs, supporting both seasonal onboarding and ongoing development across departments
Collaborating with hotel management and head office to support HR planning, performance improvement, and operational success
Requirements:
At least 5 years of experience in an HR department within the hotel industry, including 3+ years
Proven ability in team management, conflict resolution, and maintaining positive employee relations
Excellent organizational and communication skills, along with the ability to work cross-functionally with multiple departments
Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (a Master’s or HR certification is a plus)
Demonstrate hands-on experience across core HR functions such as recruitment, employee relations, training & development, and compensation & benefits
Be well-versed in Greek labor legislation and employment compliance
Be fluent in both Greek and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages
Be available to work on-site in Crete on a year-round basis, including during the off-season
