As HR Manager, you will help us translate HR strategy into practice. Together with the team, you will be responsible for the full employee experience at Design Hotels™, making sure all people processes run seamlessly and with purpose. You will lead core areas such as payroll, recruitment, and learning & development, while ensuring compliance and consistency across our international offices.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and coordinate the full payroll process in close collaboration with Finance and external payroll providers, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timeliness
Lead and coordinate recruitment processes for assigned departments — from defining job profiles and conducting interviews to offer management and onboarding
Shape and continuously improve the onboarding and offboarding experience across all regions
Develop and implement learning and development initiatives — from internal workshops and external trainings to long-term learning journeys
Serve as an HR partner for managers and employees, providing clear guidance on HR policies, employee relations, and daily operational matters
Ensure accurate and up-to-date employee data in our systems (mHUB, Asana, and internal tools) and support HR reporting
Collaborate on company-wide HR projects such as compensation reviews, job grading, and policy updates
Partner closely with the wider Marriott International HR network to ensure alignment with global standards
Contribute to our engagement and culture initiatives, such as TakeCare, Company Week, and other internal events that strengthen community and belonging
Requirements:
Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field
3–5 years of HR experience in operations, payroll or recruitment, ideally in an international environment
Strong understanding of German labor law and payroll practices
Proven track record in recruiting and onboarding across functions and regions
Excellent communication and organizational skills

Fluency in English and German (written and spoken)
High level of integrity, discretion, and collaboration in a fast-moving international setting
Nice to have:
Experience with designing or coordinating learning & development programs is a plus
