The HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting day-to-day human resources operations while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and employment regulations. This position partners closely with leadership and staff to provide guidance across multiple HR functions, including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, and benefits administration.
Job Responsibility:
Support full-cycle recruitment efforts, including job postings, candidate screening, and interview coordination
Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a positive employee experience
Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, and HR procedures
Assist with employee relations matters, including documentation and issue resolution
Support benefits administration and liaise with benefits vendors as needed
Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
Assist with performance management processes and employee evaluations
Support training initiatives, employee engagement efforts, and HR projects
Prepare reports and documentation related to HR operations
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar HR role
Experience working in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization preferred
Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Collaborative, service-oriented mindset
