We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Denver, Colorado. In this role, you will oversee a variety of human resources functions, ensuring compliance with regulations while supporting employee engagement and organizational effectiveness. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in areas such as recruitment, payroll, onboarding, and employee relations.
Job Responsibility:
Manage all aspects of the payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate calculations for wages, bonuses, overtime, and deductions
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and employment laws
Coordinate and document employee training programs, including mandatory and optional sessions such as safety, anti-harassment, and skill development
Collaborate with department managers to identify hiring needs and required competencies for open positions
Lead recruitment efforts by posting job openings, screening candidates, and facilitating the hiring process
Conduct background checks and verify employee eligibility as part of the hiring process
Develop and implement onboarding programs and employee recognition initiatives
Administer HR programs such as compensation, benefits, leave, and training while addressing employee relations and workplace concerns
Respond to employment-related inquiries and escalate complex issues to senior HR leadership
Stay informed on HR best practices and industry trends to ensure compliance and improve processes
Requirements:
Proven experience in employee relations and HR administration
Strong knowledge of payroll processes and employment law compliance
Proficiency in onboarding procedures and implementing HR policies
Familiarity with benefits administration and related functions
Experience working with HRIS systems to manage employee records and processes
Excellent organizational skills to maintain physical and digital files for employees
Ability to create employee engagement initiatives and foster a positive work environment
Strong communication skills to collaborate with all levels of staff and management
