The HR Data Analytics Specialist is responsible for transforming Human Resources and workforce data into actionable insights that support strategic decision‑making across the EMEA region. Reporting to the Director, Process Optimization & Talent Analytics, this role delivers high‑quality HR reporting, dashboards, and analytics solutions that enable a data‑driven people strategy. The role partners closely with HR leaders, business stakeholders, and Marriott HQ to analyze workforce trends, translate complex data into compelling insights, and support strategic initiatives through advanced analytics, automation, and predictive analysis.
Job Responsibility:
Design, build, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and analytics solutions focused on HR, workforce, and talent insights across the EMEA region
Analyze complex HR and people datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, translating findings into clear, actionable insights for HR and business leaders
Partner with HR stakeholders to support people strategy initiatives, performance tracking, QBRs, and leadership reporting
Develop and maintain scalable HR data models, calculations, and reporting standards to ensure consistency and accuracy across the region
Support advanced and predictive people analytics initiatives, including workforce planning, attrition risk analysis, and skills insights
Champion data governance, ethical data use, and GDPR compliance, ensuring the secure and responsible handling of employee data
Contribute to building a data‑driven HR culture by enabling stakeholders to interpret people data effectively and confidently
Collaborate cross‑functionally with HR, Finance, Operations, and Strategy teams to deliver holistic people insights
Drive continuous improvement through automation, innovation, and the adoption of new HR analytics tools and methodologies
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in HR analytics, people analytics, data analytics, or business intelligence
Minimum 2 years of hands‑on Power BI development experience, including data modelling, DAX, and dashboard automation
Proven experience working with large HR or workforce datasets, performing independent analysis, and delivering insight‑led recommendations
Experience using SQL for data extraction and transformation from multiple systems
Exposure to predictive or advanced people analytics techniques is highly desirable
Experience with Oracle analytics tools, HR data environments, Python, R, or Microsoft Power Platform is a strong plus
Project management experience and prior exposure to HR or workforce analytics preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field
or an advanced degree with relevant experience
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate HR data into compelling data stories
Advanced Power BI and data visualization expertise
Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
Excellent communication and HR stakeholder management skills
