Providing housing and recovery support with a goal of achieving independent living. Working in a Psychologically Informed Environment within a female-only housing facility.
Job Responsibility:
Help women with diverse needs, ranging from those in early recovery to those preparing for independent living
Provide housing and recovery support to women with histories of failed accommodation placements, substance misuse, criminality, and challenging behaviours
Support vulnerable female residents who have experienced male-perpetrated abuse and trauma
Help coordinate cases, assess needs, create support plans, and deliver structured interventions to promote wellbeing, active citizenship, and alternatives to substance use
Collaborate with staff and external partners to create recovery support systems and plans
Requirements:
Passion for working with people affected by addiction
Experience or understanding of supporting people to develop personal strengths and sustain tenancy within a supported housing environment
Specialist harm reduction experience
Experience of developing partnerships and working collaboratively with other organisations
An understanding of the harmful effects associated with drug and alcohol misuse and offending in relation to health, social welfare, housing, employability and personal relationships
Must be of the same sex as the residents (female)
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
Nice to have:
A coaching/counselling/Health and Social Care qualification
Experience of working with people with complex needs including challenging or negative behaviour, substance misuse and/or criminal offending backgrounds and supporting them to make changes to their lives
