As Housing Manager, you’ll provide strong, visible leadership to your teams, balancing people management with the practical realities of housing management – including compliance, income, voids and allocations.
Job Responsibility:
Team leadership & people management: Lead, motivate, coach and support Housing Officers
Create an inclusive, high-performing team culture
Ensure personal development plans align with organisational priorities
Housing management & compliance: Oversee housing services including tenancy management, ASB and safeguarding
Ensure compliance with legislation, policies and partnership agreements
Resident support & wellbeing: Support residents to sustain tenancies and live well
Community & partnership working: Work collaboratively with internal teams, local authorities, partner agencies and community groups

Requirements:
Proven experience in people management, including supporting and managing performance
Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong understanding of housing compliance, income, voids and allocations
Ability to make sound decisions, manage risk and work confidently with stakeholders
Strong communication and organisational skills
Nice to have:
Background in housing, ideally as a Senior Housing Officer, Housing Manager or similar
Experience working within a housing management environment
Confidence supporting housing teams to deliver consistent, high-quality services
