Job Description:

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to lead housing teams based across Wrexham and Welshpool, supporting colleagues to deliver compliant, high-quality housing services that genuinely improve residents’ lives. As Housing Manager, you’ll provide strong, visible leadership to your teams, balancing people management with the practical realities of housing management – including compliance, income, voids and allocations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Team leadership & people management: Lead, motivate, coach and support Housing Officers
  • Create an inclusive, high-performing team culture
  • Ensure personal development plans align with organisational priorities
  • Housing management & compliance: Oversee housing services including tenancy management, ASB and safeguarding
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, policies and partnership agreements
  • Resident support & wellbeing: Support residents to sustain tenancies and live well
  • Community & partnership working: Work collaboratively with internal teams, local authorities, partner agencies and community groups
  • Culture & values: Promote ClwydAlyn’s values of Trust, Kindness and Hope

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in people management, including supporting and managing performance
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of housing compliance, income, voids and allocations
  • Ability to make sound decisions, manage risk and work confidently with stakeholders
  • Strong communication and organisational skills

Nice to have:

  • Background in housing, ideally as a Senior Housing Officer, Housing Manager or similar
  • Experience working within a housing management environment
  • Confidence supporting housing teams to deliver consistent, high-quality services

  • Collaborate with customers through co-design workshops, User Group sessions and customer meetings to fully understand what’s happening in the sector and how this influences customer requirements
  • Define customer business needs and objectives , aligning to product strategy, to ensure that NEC Housing products and solutions meet or exceed customer/market expectations
  • Build business cases to define market uptake, pricing and margin analysis
  • Identify any 3rd party requirements to complete the user requirements. Liaise and manage requirements with 3rd party suppliers, systems integrators or other organisations as required
  • Define, manage and maintain the roadmap for your product area(s)
  • Assist the Pre-Sales/Sales team with the production, review and management of bid responses, sales proposals and quotations, as required
  • Produce and deliver presentations for both customer and internal audiences
  • Support product launch activities
