Minimum 7–10 years of progressive engineering leadership experience in a full-service or luxury hotel, resort, or large commercial facility

Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and building automation systems

Job Responsibility

Lead, develop, and inspire a multi-disciplinary engineering and maintenance team

Serve as an active member of the hotel Executive Committee, contributing to operational strategy, capital planning, and long-term asset management
Establish departmental goals aligned with hotel business objectives, guest experience standards, and Hyatt brand requirements
Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for all building systems
Ensure uninterrupted operation of critical infrastructure in a high-occupancy, high-traffic urban hotel environment
Maintain the physical condition and aesthetic quality of guestrooms, public spaces, meeting spaces, and back-of-house areas at luxury brand standards
Develop and manage capital expenditure (CapEx) plans, FF&E programs, and long-term asset replacement strategies
Lead renovation projects, room refreshes, system upgrades, and major repairs—on time, on budget, and with minimal impact to guests and operations
Coordinate with ownership, corporate engineering, designers, contractors, and city agencies

Job Responsibility

Serve as the primary Engineer on Duty during the PM/Overnight shift, efficiently addressing maintenance requests from guest rooms and internal departments throughout the resort
Perform repairs on all types of hardware, plumbing, and electrical equipment, including lamps, air conditioners, cosmetic items, switches, outlets, and TV programming in guest rooms and public areas
Repair and/or adjust all types of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment in public spaces
Monitor and report on energy and utilities usage to support Energy Conservation efforts
Be immediately available for emergencies, acting in an engineering capacity to protect guests/associates and preserve the building/systems
Monitor the Fire Alarm/Life Safety System, maintain full knowledge of system operation, and handle related emergencies
Clean, lubricate, protect, and maintain all departmental tools and equipment
Read, log, track, and interpret readings from meters and gauges
Maintain a thorough log of daily activities and problems
Adhere to all departmental Job Safety Analyses (JSAs)
