Position for a Hotel Engineer II at The St. Regis Longboat Key Resort, involving maintenance, repair, and guest service duties within the engineering department.
Job Responsibility:
Respond and attend to guest repair requests
Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues
Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment
Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
Carry equipment
Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and shut-offs for buildings
Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts
Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts
Display proficiency in categories like air conditioning, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, etc.
Use hand and power tools safely
Repair or replace PVC copper pipe
Troubleshoot and perform basic repair on equipment, plumbing, electrical
Program TV's
Perform general housekeeping and engineering duties
Assist with surface preparation, painting, minor repairs
Use Lockout/Tagout system
Use engineering computer programs
Perform mid-level troubleshooting of hotel MEP systems
Train and mentor other engineers
Perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities
Follow company safety and security policies
Report maintenance problems, safety hazards
Complete safety training
Ensure uniform and appearance are professional
Maintain confidentiality
Welcome and acknowledge guests
Develop positive working relationships
Move, lift, carry objects up to 50 pounds
Move up and down stairs, ramps, ladders
Enter work-related information using computers
Requirements:
Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
Must meet applicable state and federal certification and/or licensing requirements
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and vocational or technical background
Experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting
At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience
