Our client, a family owned & reputable Home Care agency, with multiple offices in Massachusetts, is seeking compassionate, competent & dependable Home Health Aides to support their continued growth. PRN, Part Time, & Full Time opportunities available immediately.
Job Responsibility:
Work cooperatively with the family member, the agency supervisor and any other individuals involved with the client
Follow instructions, be conscientious and take pride in his/her work
Inform the Supervisor of unusual incidents or events of a significant change in the client's condition
Assist clients in/out of bed
Ambulate clients and uses safe transfers and techniques including the use of a Hoyer lift
Toilet, assist clients with bed pans/ must empty all commodes
Medication cueing and reminders
Assist/perform client grooming
Perform activities that support the skilled therapies as instructed, and routine care of prosthetic and orthotic devices
Provide adequate nutrition and fluid intake
Perform bathing/showering/sponge bathing
Shampoo/hair combing
Oral hygiene/denture care
Dressing/undressing
Foot care
Perform normal household services essential to health care at home, including shopping, meal preparation, laundry and housekeeping duties
Maintain a clean, safe and healthy environment
Record ADL activities of the client and the client care provided on the HHA activity sheet
Report any changes in the client's condition to the primary care nurse or supervisor
Must attend and complete in-service education programs as required
Requirements:
Successful completion of an approved Commonwealth of Massachusetts CNA/Home Health Aide training program
Current CPR Certification preferred
Exhibits maturity, flexibility and ability to plan and organize activities
A current TB Test result presented upon hire and yearly
Completed 15 hours of training related to the responsibilities of a HHA and the Mass Council's curriculum
Must have a current, valid Massachusetts driver's license and reliable transportation with current auto/vehicle insurance
Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Must be competent in the skills necessary to perform the job functions
