Our client, a well-established and dynamic company in Billericay, is seeking a Hire Controller to join their busy and friendly team. This role involves managing the daily operations of a hire desk, delivering exceptional customer service, liaising with the engineering team, maintaining records, and processing hire orders.
Job Responsibility:
Manage the daily operations of a fast-paced hire desk with accuracy and efficiency
Deliver outstanding customer service with a confident and professional telephone manner
Liaise with the engineering team to ensure equipment is prepared and available for hire
Maintain accurate records using Microsoft Excel and Word
Build and nurture strong relationships with customers and internal teams
Handle all hire desk documentation including quotes, contracts, and delivery/collection notes
Process hire orders swiftly and accurately
Respond to customer enquiries via phone and email with professionalism and care
Requirements:
Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
Strong communication abilities and a customer-first mindset
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential
