Job Description:

Robertswood School is looking to employ an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant who is an inspirational, friendly and driven individual, who can support our children in achieving their goals. Our successful applicant will be enthusiastic, innovative and have the necessary knowledge and skills for delivering inclusive, high quality learning.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering the learning intention
  • Cover classes in the absence of a teacher
  • Plan, deliver and track interventions as directed by the class teacher
  • Support Robertswood Teaching Staff team in delivering high-quality learning experiences
  • Assist with child development activities tailored to individual needs
  • Help create a safe, welcoming and stimulating learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff as part of a dedicated team
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional and educational development
  • Continue to maintain the high standards of behaviour and engagement throughout the school

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with children within a school setting
  • Passionate about children’s learning and in every child achieving their full potential
  • Caring and has lots of enthusiasm and patience
  • Flexible and willing to collaborate as part of a supportive team
  • Minimum requirement of GCSE English and Maths qualification (Grade 4 or above – or equivalent)
  • Holds a TA NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, or has relevant HLTA experience
  • Able to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English
