Job Description:

We are currently seeking a temporary HGV Class 2 Driver for a client based in Birmingham. As a leading recruitment agency in the UK, Workchain is here to help you secure a fantastic opportunity in the driving industry. This is for a leading builders merchant. You must be comfortable driving a flat bed and been able to ratchet strap down multiple loads of various sizes. There is no handball in this role but you will be required to go onto the flat bed so an element of physical fitness is required. Monday to Friday 0700 starts. New pass friendly.

Job Responsibility:

Safely operate a HGV Class 2 vehicle in compliance with all road traffic regulations
Deliver goods to customers in a timely and professional manner
Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and efficiently
Maintain the cleanliness and road-worthiness of the vehicle
Communicate effectively with the transport office and report any issues or delays

Requirements:

Valid HGV Class 2 licence
CPC card and digital tachograph card
Good knowledge of driving regulations and transport operations
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Comfortable driving a flat bed
Able to ratchet strap down multiple loads of various sizes
Element of physical fitness
