HGV Class 1 Day Driver

• Various HGV driving duties, including daily checks to ensure your vehicle is roadworthy and safe to use
• Comply with vehicle security and standing procedures at all times
• Manage the hand held terminals and be able to record accurate information
• Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and returned to the Transport Office
• Report any delivery issues in a timely manner to the Transport Office
• Provide a professional driving service, meeting and exceeding customer expectations
• Ensure health and safety standards are adhered at all times
• You may be required to drive Class 2 or 3.5t vehicles during peak periods

• Class 1 Driving Licence
• Valid CPC
• Digital Tacho Card
• HGV/LGC Class licence
• Previous experience is essential
• Multi drop experience would be beneficial
• Completed a CPC Training Course
• Strong geographical and logistical knowledge
• Good communication skills, spoken and written
• Ability to self-motivate, self-manage and work both autonomously and as part of a team
• Friendly and helpful nature with an excellent work ethic
• Able to work weekends
