Job Description:

Our client is seeking a skilled and proactive Heat Meter Technical Engineer to ensure the quality assurance, maintenance, and repair of all heat meter assets within their growing portfolio. The role involves close collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain service excellence and regulatory compliance across bulk, commercial, landlord, and residential heat meter systems.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct quality assurance and final sign-off of heat meter assets and associated infrastructure on new sites before adoption by the Heat Operations team
  • Carry out maintenance, diagnostics, and repair work on existing heat meter infrastructure across the estate
  • Manage and deliver small-scale projects focused on improving operational efficiency of metering systems
  • Identify, track, and report risks and improvement opportunities
  • Act as a subject matter expert, offering technical advice to internal engineering and sales teams to ensure adherence to design and build specifications

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing & Heating or demonstrable equivalent experience
  • Part P electrical qualification
  • Strong knowledge of heat metering technology and maintenance
  • Excellent diagnostic, fault-finding, and repair skills
