Job Description:

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing utilities contractor that delivers multi-utility connections across residential and commercial developments. Due to continued success and expansion, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Health & Safety Auditor to join their high-performing HSQE team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking business with a strong reputation in safety and operational delivery.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct Health & Safety audits across operational sites and regions
  • Audit key compliance areas such as plant, excavations, training, and vehicle use
  • Review and assist with site-specific risk assessments
  • Track and ensure close-out of non-conformances
  • Engage with site teams, managers, and subcontractors
  • Maintain detailed audit reports and action logs
  • Support compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards
  • Promote a positive safety culture and zero-incident approach

Requirements:

  • Previous auditing experience in construction or utilities
  • Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and best practice
  • Multi-utility background (Gas, Water, Electric) is desirable
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Experience with ISO management systems (9001, 14001, 45001)
  • Confidence engaging with operatives and reviewing compliance records
  • Well-organised, with the ability to manage audit schedules and follow-up
  • Full UK driving licence

Nice to have:

Multi-utility background (Gas, Water, Electric) is desirable
