Job SummaryAs an Avionics & Harness Technician B, you will assist in the fabrication of harnesses and electro-mechanical assemblies by interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings and specifications, and written assembly, integration, and test procedures for spacecraft and ground systems. This role requires the ability to work first shift.
Job Responsibility:
Wire harnesses assembly per NASA.STD.8739.4A
Use of harness related tools such as soldering irons, crimpers, hot tweezers, etc.
Testing wire harnesses with equipment such as high potential testers, multimeters, force gauges
Assembly of electrical ground support equipment
Test equipment setups
Assists in performing second party verifications and visually inspect harness assemblies to drawings, engineering specifications, and written assembly, integration and test procedures
Ensure product quality and conformance to specifications
Document non-conformances and associated rework/repair
Meets necessary certification as required
Performs incidental related duties as assigned or required
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
6 months’ experience as a technician in aerospace or equivalent industry and/or Trade School training
Demonstrated exceptional attention to detail
Available to work shifted or alternate work schedule when required
Experience using hand tools, repairing and troubleshooting electronic components
Mechanically and mathematically inclined
Knowledgeable about various computer operating systems and software
Applicants must pass a soldering and crimping test
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required
