Job Description:

The Danaher Business System Leader (DBSL) is responsible for promoting and facilitating the successful implementation of the Danaher Business System (DBS) at Danaher companies, allowing those sites to meet their Policy Deployment (PD) and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets. The Lean DBSL is specifically responsible for the deployment of the appropriate DBS tools within the Operations teams across Hardware Solutions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Partner with the VPs of Operations to drive targeted improvement in Safety, Quality, OTD, Inventory and Productivity across the 5 main manufacturing sites in Hardware Solutions aligned with the team’s objectives by promoting the diagnosis of process obstacles and providing expert counsel on appropriate DBS tools to address gaps in performance
  • Support the Operations strategy working closely with SOR stakeholders to execute key initiatives
  • Ensure impactful, successful kaizen events across the Operations teams (including Shin kaizens and Gemba X events) by installing and ensuring compliance to the kaizen process, including planning of kaizen events with a dynamic funnel process tied to daily management, kaizen event execution and sustainment of kaizens
  • Partner with the site DBSLs to identify gaps in DBS capability and manage the Certified Practitioner funnel for the team
  • Drive DBS Fundamentals and culture within the Operations teams

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business required
  • 10+ years of Operations experience, ideally a minimum of Production manager, supervisor, or operations / production leadership experience in a LEAN organization
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately assess key business metrics and situations, and ability to design, develop, and implement a DBS roadmap for a business
  • Demonstrated strong leadership experience and influencing skills, with success in driving results with DBS
  • Demonstrated success in cross-functional teams with ability to work and execute across boundaries and matrices
  • Ability to travel internationally >50%

Nice to have:

Demonstrated commitment to DBS Fundamentals, holding a CP (Certified Practitioner) or ACP (Advanced Certified Practitioner) in VSM (Value Stream Map), TPI (Transactional Process Improvement), PSP (Problem Solving Process) or Daily Management (DM) and/or relevant Lean tools
