KFS is seeking a Hardware Engineer join our Submarine Trainer Development Team supporting the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) in Newport, RI. You will work with a team of hardware engineers building and deploying the latest Attack Center and Navigation training systems on site in Newport, RI and at U.S. Submarine bases around the world. This position requires US Citizenship, a DoD Secret Security clearance, and is full-time onsite.
Job Responsibility:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including but not limited to Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
Build Information Technology (IT) suites to support simulation training devices
Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting complex IT systems
Fabricate and install system interconnect cabling for communications, network, audio, video, and serial interfaces
Perform remote system installations of equipment to support training systems (10-20% travel)
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology or other related field with 2 years of experience or 5 years of experience
Previous experience building IT Systems and networks
