Guest Service Representative - Nights position at The Lincoln Suites London, Kingsway (Holborn). Located in central London overlooking Kingsway, near Covent Garden and Soho. The role focuses on delivering positively OUTRAGEOUS service, putting PEOPLE at the heart of everything, and creating genuine and caring teams. The hotel offers guests a unique experience with all rooms being Suites with more living and working space than conventional hotels. The Front of House team is responsible for first impressions and benchmark for customer care throughout guest stays.
Job Responsibility:
Provide a great guest experience by enabling a smooth arrival and departure experience including rooming and delivering luggage
Be fully conversant with hotel facilities, services and special promotions to maximise hotel sales
Be aware of hotel availability and take every opportunity to maximise room sales
Increase room revenue by supervising effectiveness of room category upselling
Anticipate guest needs, act upon and follow up guest requests
Ensure all charges are correctly posted to guest bills
Deal with cash, cheque, and credit transactions
Ensure all messages received for guests are passed on accurately
Carry out security checks at regular intervals with special emphasis on security, fire and safety
Check hotel guests in and out and assist with luggage when required
Operate the hotel switchboard and deal with all internal and external calls
Ensure a sound knowledge of the local area regarding history, places of interest and special events
Action early morning calls
Cleaning of areas as requested
Complete all relevant training
Show willingness to take on additional responsibilities
Have thorough knowledge of and adherence to company regulations including fire regulations, health and safety regulations, and first aid procedures
Requirements:
Ability to work unsupervised
Strong communication skills
Previous experience within a similar role within a hotel environment
Always striving to deliver a great service for guests
Proactive and can complete tasks efficiently and follow up where necessary
Passionate about hospitality and standards
Keen eye for details
Excellent organisational skills
Ability to remain calm whilst working under pressure
Previous experience with MEWS and Opera PMS preferred but not essential
