Job Responsibility:

  • Greet guests with warmth and professionalism, assisting with luggage and directions
  • Deliver and retrieve luggage to and from guest rooms with care and efficiency
  • Safely store guest belongings in the luggage room and handle group arrivals
  • Assist with valet parking, ensuring compliance with Australian road regulations
  • Maintain a clean, welcoming, and well-presented lobby area
  • Explain room features and promote hotel services during luggage delivery
  • Respond to guest queries about hotel facilities and local attractions
  • Support front office operations and complete handovers accurately
  • Assist guests with disabilities in accordance with accessibility guidelines
  • Monitor and report any safety hazards or system issues
  • Uphold hotel grooming, conduct, and safety standards
  • Participate in training sessions and departmental briefings
  • Handle guest mail, messages, and parcels promptly
  • Process payments and follow cash handling procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality of guest and staff information
  • Promote hotel offerings and contribute to upselling initiatives

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a porter or guest services role preferred
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
  • Full working rights in Australia
