Overall accountability for Bestway Retail’s Retail Formats, Store Designs and Macro Space Management aimed at delivering sales & profit growth for Bestway Retail & its Retail Customers. Delivers excellent Brand Standards, that will grow retailer membership through retention and recruitment. Formats and Macro space standards that will grow shopper confidence, footfall and retail sales.
Job Responsibility:
Manage BESTWAY RETAIL store formats, macro space & store layouts function
Create a clear Formats + Macro Space plan and strategy
Own, implement and manage the store design and sign-off process
Develop and lead a team of high performing Retail Design Managers
Analyse and report on linear space by format, store & industry trends
Align BESTWAY RETAIL formats, macro space & design principles, to the UK marketplace
Produce compelling Formats, Macro-Space, Design guidelines and share with wider stakeholders
Review & update guidelines at defined periods
Track, review and report store performance pre and post launch
Continually assess the marketplace for key trends and competitor positioning
Sign off store designs, for re-fits and new business launches
Ensure Retail Space & Designs are shopper centric
Deliver a space service to BESTWAY RETAIL members
Conduct commercially & shopper driven Macro Space reviews
Build outstanding relationships across a wide stakeholder group
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years Retail experience
Focus in Space Management & Optimisation
Focus in Category Management & Merchandising
Focus in Store Design and / or Development
Strong knowledge of the Total Grocery Market including Symbol Channel
Ability to comprehend detailed commercial and financial information
Ability to identify opportunities for growth and development
A detailed eye for retailing standards
Full detailed knowledge of CPOS/EPOS including interrogation of data
Specialist in Retail, with a strong Category and Commercial acumen
Expert knowledge in Retail Formats, Store Designs and Space Planning
Strong aptitude of UK Retail Landscape, channel trends and social insights
Advanced analytical skills across multiple data sets
Ability to comprehend and process huge volume data, utilising integrity tools from A.C Nielsen, IGD, HIM
