Job Description:

Are you passionate about creating beautiful outdoor spaces? Do you take pride in delivering high standards and enjoy a varied, hands-on role? We are looking for a dedicated Grounds Person to help maintain and enhance our outdoor areas, ensuring they are clean, safe, and visually impressive for our customers and colleagues. At Bents, first impressions matter. From our car park to our landscaped areas and walkways, you will play a key role in delivering the “WOW” factor that makes every visit special.

Job Responsibility:

  • Carry out regular grounds maintenance including mowing, trimming, planting, and watering
  • Maintain landscaped areas, including the car park, public spaces, and light walk areas
  • Plant, prune, and care for trees, shrubs, and flowers, ensuring excellent plant health and pest control
  • Keep outdoor facilities clean and tidy, including litter picking, emptying bins, and maintaining pathways and seating areas
  • Identify and address issues such as weeds, damaged plants, or general wear and tear
  • Operate and maintain groundskeeping tools and equipment safely and effectively
  • Support general maintenance tasks and repairs alongside other team members
  • Share knowledge and best practice with colleagues where appropriate
  • Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and a positive, team-focused attitude
  • Provide additional support during peak trading periods and undertake ad hoc duties as required

Requirements:

  • Previous grounds maintenance or gardening experience (preferred)
  • A proactive approach with strong attention to detail
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • A practical, hands-on mindset with pride in delivering high standards
  • A positive attitude and willingness to support the wider business when needed
