Job Description:

The Grinder role involves precision grinding of aerospace components in line with manufacturing instructions, specifications, and customer/regulatory requirements. The position includes internal and external grinding using MDI CNC machinery, surface and thread grinding, and honing, working within a lean, team-based manufacturing environment to meet delivery targets. The Grinder is responsible for Operator Control of Quality (OCQ), ensuring all work meets customer quality standards, accurately interpreting engineering drawings, and following all process documentation. A strong focus on health and safety, on-time delivery, and adherence to company procedures is essential.

Job Responsibility:

  • Precision grinding of aerospace components in line with manufacturing instructions, specifications, and customer/regulatory requirements

Requirements:

  • Full BPSS* Screening (*Baseline Personnel Security Standard), including proof of Legal Right to Work, Criminal Records Check, i.e. UK DBS and Drugs Screening
  • Experience with aerospace grinding tolerances and finishes
  • Proficient in using precision measuring equipment
  • Understand the safety-critical nature of aerospace work
