As the first point of contact, you will welcome and assist all internal and external visitors, guiding them to the correct areas and providing five-star customer service. You will lead Green Hub tours for employees, suppliers, and visitors, and host events for local schools, charities, and businesses. You will also support ad hoc tasks as needed, acting as a key contact for anything that arises throughout the day. You’ll be passionate about the Green Hub’s environmental values and goals and keen to engage stakeholders, creating a buzz around the work we do. There is huge room to grow here as the Green Hub blossoms. We need a passionate advocate to help shape our future and establish the Hub as an essential anchor for our Poole community.
Job Responsibility:
Be the Face of the Green Hub: Deliver world-class, five-star service to every guest, acting as a passionate Brand Ambassador while hosting tours and sharing our circular economy story
Build a Community Ecosystem: Manage the Tours inbox and proactively nurture relationships with schools, local businesses, and community partners to scale our social and environmental impact
Drive Circular Innovation: Lead creative initiatives—like the 'Shop Again' public openings and waste-to-product collaborations with local start-ups—to prove that "waste" is just a resource in the wrong place
Internal Synergy: Act as a bridge between teams, working closely with Manufacturing to reduce waste at the source and supporting Retail to boost 'Bring It Back' returns
Master of Logistics: End-to-end coordination of workshops and tours, including scheduling, staffing, and catering, ensuring every event runs like clockwork
Storytelling & Content: Keep our tour scripts fresh and inspiring. Partner with Manufacturing PR to spot "news-worthy" moments for LinkedIn, press, and content creators
Event Management: Collaborate on internal events and PR visits, managing everything from room setups to complex scheduling
Commercial Administration: Oversee the room-hire charging mechanism, ensuring all bookings are accurately invoiced and records are meticulously maintained
The Ultimate Host: Serve as the primary point of contact for the site, balancing a warm, "Lush" welcome with a strict adherence to safety and security protocols
Curate the Environment: Manage the day-to-day "vibe" of the studio—from managing post and deliveries to restocking refreshments, caring for our greenery, and maintaining the Lush Library
Leadership & Safety: Mentor and guide junior staff in the Studio and Shop. Liaise with the Building Manager to ensure site security and seamless opening/closing procedures
Growth Mindset: Develop and execute creative strategies to increase footfall and sales, turning the Shop Again into a must-visit destination
Circular Advocacy: Champion the reuse and resale of items returning to the Green Hub, managing their journey through the physical shop or our online Marketplace
