Job Description:

The Grants and Contracts Administrator is responsible for providing budget development support, communicating pre- and post-award compliance concerns, processing award modifications and prior approval requests, providing post-award training and technical assistance to project directors, and completing special projects as assigned to meet the needs of the University and the Sponsored Programs office.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provides budget development support to faculty and staff for new competitive grant proposals, contract renewals, and continuation awards
  • communicates compliance concerns and processes submissions for internal review
  • Develops resources and provides post-award technical assistance to project directors and administrative personnel, including through new award orientation meetings
  • Processes subawards, award modifications, and prior approval requests, including scope revisions, budget revisions, and no-cost extensions
  • functions as a liaison with external funding agencies for post-award issues
  • Performs general reviews of spending on active grant awards with an emphasis on appropriate allocation of personnel effort and spending trends
  • communicates compliance concerns for action
  • Assists with special projects and initiatives aimed at growing sponsored project funding and improving support for managing awards
  • Supports office functions by completing all other duties as assigned

Requirements:
