Job Description:

At CVS Health, the Graduate Pharmacy Intern role provides an excellent opportunity to transition didactic knowledge into practical experience within retail pharmacy operations. The role supports fulfilling, managing, and improving patient health outcomes while also preparing for increased responsibilities in a pharmacist role.

Job Responsibility:

Living our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation
following pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation
contributing to positive patient experiences by creating heartfelt and personalized moments
offering to counsel and fielding medical questions
taking telephonic prescriptions from the prescriber and calling to clarify prescriptions
completing basic inventory activities, as permitted by law
contributing to a high-performing team and embracing a growth mindset
remaining flexible for scheduling and voluntarily traveling to stores in the market
understanding and complying with all relevant federal, state, and local laws
delivering additional patient health care services such as immunizations and point-of-care testing

Requirements:

PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required

Nice to have:

1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
ability to become immunization certified
proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
