Job Description:

McCarter and English’s Chambers-ranked Government Contracts group is seeking an experienced, diligent, and proactive government contracts associate to join our growing and dynamic team. Location flexible across our offices.

Requirements:

  • At least 4-5 years’ experience (preferably in a law firm setting)
  • Strong analytical and writing skills
  • Experience with bid protests
  • Experience with cybersecurity
  • Experience with acquisition regulation (including FAR and DFARS) compliance
  • Experience drafting REAs and claims, related claims analysis and counseling, and CDA claim litigation
  • Experience with federal subcontracting and related dispute and flow-down/compliance issues
  • Experience with multiple award contracts
  • Experience with small business procurement
  • Intellectually curious self-starter with a demonstrable ability to work on certain matters independently
  • Strong academic background
  • Commitment to a rise to partnership
  • Interest in and propensity for (if not experience with) written and oral “thought leadership” and client development
  • Virginia State Bar admission highly preferred

Nice to have:

  • Experience with aerospace/defense, infrastructure/construction, life sciences/pharmaceutical, and/or manufacturing industries
