Job Description:

At Optiver, we’re driven to make an impact, and that includes how we approach sustainability. As our Global Sustainability Manager, you’ll help shape and deliver the initiatives that bring our commitment to sustainability to life. You’ll combine analytical thinking, data expertise, and strong project management to turn ambition into action, collaborating with teams across our global offices to make meaningful changes. Based in our Amsterdam holding company, you’ll work closely with the Global Sustainability Officer to build and scale Optiver’s global sustainability efforts.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare Optiver for CSRD reporting– You will ensure that we have the systems and structures in place to begin reporting under CSRD legislation
  • Calculate Optiver’s carbon footprint – In collaboration with colleagues across Optiver’s offices, Group Finance, and external consultants, you will lead the calculation of Optiver’s carbon footprint
  • Offset and reduce Optiver’s carbon footprint – You will engage with external parties to ensure we offset and reduce our carbon emissions as accurately and efficiently as possible
  • Support ESG reporting across Optiver’s offices – As part of the holding function, Sustainability supports local reporting initiatives that impact the wider Optiver group
  • Support global sustainability projects – You will support projects that integrate sustainability into the business in accordance with Optiver’s values and culture
  • Identify best practices and drive internal alignment – Maintain close contact with internal forums and working groups to identify best practices and support their implementation
  • Identify market trends – Stay up to date with emerging sustainability trends, regulations, technologies, and identify opportunities for Optiver to make an impact

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in financial reporting and/or ESG reporting
  • Strong understanding of ESG regulations and standards, and the ability to stay up to date with new developments
  • Demonstrated project and data management skills, including experience working with large datasets
  • Ability to collaborate with teams across functions and offices to deliver global projects
  • Proven interest in sustainability
  • Commitment to continuously developing your knowledge and skills

Nice to have:

  • An accountancy qualification would be an advantage
  • Prior experience reporting under CSRD would be an advantage
