Job Description:

We’re looking for a global supplier manager who is passionate about working with engineers to bring early stage product development to scale and building a supply chain to meet this challenge. The GSM will be accountable for Supplier Relationship Management and costs of the product, with the ability to communicate these to leadership, and work to provide parallel or alternative paths to manufacturing for improvements in cost and demand.

Job Responsibility:

  • Build relationships with suppliers and partners across a broad set of industries to negotiate favourable terms and conditions, pricing and secure and confirm availability of product
  • Create supply chains in partnership with engineering teams to help guide product development as it scales and evolves with technological enhancement and control of quality
  • Accountable for Supplier Relationship Management and costs of the product, with the ability to communicate these to leadership
  • Work to provide parallel or alternative paths to manufacturing for improvements in cost and demand
  • Establish supplier relationships for low volume take-up for early adoption of high technology products
  • Manage requirements in collaboration with engineering team
  • Drive cost out of the supply chain whilst also working with engineering to identify design for manufacture opportunities

Requirements:

  • Experience bringing newly developed products, with experience on sensors and compute, to scale through partner relationships
  • Ability to do cost accounting for products and negotiate improvements with scale
  • Ability to drive decision making across a broad group of internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in collaborative development between internal teams and external partners and suppliers
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to represent a broad range of tradeoffs and decisions to both working level teams and leadership
  • Comfortable working in an agile program environment with aggressive milestones
