Job Description:

Citi seeks a highly accomplished senior vice president to lead its Global Critical Supplier Program. This pivotal role involves shaping and optimizing Citi's engagement with strategically important suppliers, driving value, and mitigating risk. Reporting to the Head of Supplier Oversight as part of the Procurement and Third Party Management team, the position encompasses leadership of strategic initiatives, risk management, performance optimization, and regulatory compliance.

Job Responsibility:

strategic program leadership: define, implement, and oversee the comprehensive program designed to minimize risk and maximize value derived from Citi's critical suppliers
executive engagement: cultivate and manage high-level relationships with key stakeholders, including C-suite executives, business heads, and oversight executives
risk management and mitigation: proactively identify and mitigate potential risks associated with critical suppliers
performance optimization: drive continuous improvement in supplier performance through robust metrics, performance reviews, and collaborative action plans
team leadership and development: lead and mentor a high-performing team of professionals
financial management: oversee the program budget, ensuring responsible resource allocation and maximizing return on investment
cross-functional collaboration: partner effectively with various internal stakeholders to ensure seamless program execution
regulatory compliance: ensure program adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies

Requirements:

10+ years of relevant experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, or a related field
proven ability to lead and manage complex programs with enterprise-wide impact
exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with demonstrated experience engaging with senior executives
strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks effectively
deep understanding of risk management principles and regulatory requirements
Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
Master’s degree preferred
