Job Responsibility:
Functions as the primary strategic business leader of the property
ensures guest and employee satisfaction
oversees human resources, financial performance, and sales and revenue generation
ensures execution of Marriott brand service strategies and initiatives
holds leadership teams accountable for strategy execution
engages with the local community
represents Marriott Hotels & Resorts and JW brand values
manages business strategy development and execution
leads sales and marketing efforts
oversees talent management and development
manages brand advocacy
analyzes business information
oversees employee and labor relations
develops and implements revenue management strategies
maintains strong owner relationships
manages customer and public relations
ensures compliance with company/brand policies, procedures, and standards
Requirements:
Previous work experience in Malaysia as a General Manager
pre-opening/conversion experience within Marriott
2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 8 years’ experience in management operations, sales and marketing, finance and accounting, or related professional area
OR a 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 6 years’ experience in management operations, sales and marketing, finance and accounting, or related professional area
