Clifford Chance is seeking a highly motivated and skilled General Banking Associate to join our prestigious Global Financial Markets practice in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will work on a variety of complex finance transactions, including leveraged and acquisition finance, private credit & direct lending, project finance, real estate finance, and restructuring. This role offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team on high-profile transactions for a global client base.
Job Responsibility:
Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of financing documents
Conduct legal research and provide advice on a variety of finance-related legal issues
Participate in structuring, negotiating, and executing finance transactions
Work closely with partners, counsels and senior associates, and clients to ensure transactions are completed efficiently and effectively
Coordinate with other practice areas and offices to provide comprehensive legal services to clients
Manage and mentor junior associates and trainees
Contribute to business development activities, including client presentations and pitch documentation
Stay abreast of legal developments in finance law and contribute to the firm's knowledge management
Requirements:

Qualified in Hong Kong or a common law jurisdiction
Strong academic credentials from a reputable law school
Experience in a leading law firm with a recognised finance practice
Excellent legal skills, including a strong understanding of finance law and practice
Ability to handle complex legal issues and transactions
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
Proficiency in English is required

Commitment to high-quality work and attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
