General Banking Associate

• Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of financing documents
• Conduct legal research and provide advice on a variety of finance-related legal issues
• Participate in structuring, negotiating, and executing finance transactions
• Work closely with partners, counsels and senior associates, and clients to ensure transactions are completed efficiently and effectively
• Coordinate with other practice areas and offices to provide comprehensive legal services to clients
• Manage and mentor junior associates and trainees
• Contribute to business development activities, including client presentations and pitch documentation
• Stay abreast of legal developments in finance law and contribute to the firm's knowledge management

• 2-5PQE
• Qualified in Hong Kong or a common law jurisdiction
• Strong academic credentials from a reputable law school
• Experience in a leading law firm with a recognised finance practice
• Excellent legal skills, including a strong understanding of finance law and practice
• Ability to handle complex legal issues and transactions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
• Proficiency in English is required
• additional Asian language skills, particularly Mandarin or Cantonese, are highly advantageous
• Commitment to high-quality work and attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
