Codec is seeking a Full-stack Technical Lead Developer who bridges the gap between high-stakes project delivery and technical strategy. This is a unique hybrid role designed for a 'Builder-Strategist.' For the majority of your time, you will act as the 'Captain of the Ship' for a flagship client engagement, leading a squad of developers to deliver robust Azure-based solutions. You will remain deeply hands-on, spending a high proportion of your delivery time in the code. For the remainder of your time, you will step above the specific project to help drive the wider practice forward. This includes contributing to technical presales, building rapid Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to win new business, driving team growth through hiring, and contributing to Codec’s reusable 'Accelerator' library.
Job Responsibility:
Act as the primary technical point of contact and escalation for both the Codec squad and the client
Lead by example, handle the most complex integrations, set coding standards, and maintain high velocity within the C#/.NET and Azure stack
Translate high-level requirements into implementable designs
Remove blockers for the squad, conduct code reviews, and manage technical stakeholders
Contribute to technical responses for tenders and produce detailed Statements of Work (SoW)
Build functional, rapid PoCs in Azure/C# to demonstrate capability
Lead technical interviews for new hires and mentor junior-to-senior staff
Identify opportunities within delivery projects to define repeatable code
Contribute to Codec’s proprietary 'Accelerator' library
Requirements:
Proven experience as a lead consultant or technical lead on long-term (12+ months) billable client projects
10+ years of development experience with deep expertise in the Microsoft Stack (C#, .NET, Azure)
Experience writing SoWs, estimating commercial costs, and presenting technical vision to senior stakeholders
Ability to code functional MVPs/PoCs rapidly
Excellent ability to manage expectations, explain technical risks to non-technical project managers, and navigate complex stakeholder environments
Deep knowledge of Azure PaaS/Serverless (App Services, Functions, Service Bus, Dataverse) and associated cost modelling
Candidates must be currently located in Ireland or the UK with existing Right to Work approval
What we offer:
Access to the latest Microsoft technologies, subscriptions, and certifications
Supportive and inclusive company culture that values flexible working
Professional development and growth through Career Paths programme
Competitive compensation package and generous benefits
