We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer with a strong product mindset to join our blended software delivery teams to build end-to-end features for our transformational biodiversity platform.

Job Responsibility:

  • Own the full lifecycle of features from concept to deployment
  • Build across the stack using Go/Python on the back-end and React/TypeScript on the front-end
  • Design and deliver scalable, cloud based microservices (REST, GraphQL)
  • Work with complex data estates, utilizing Neo4j, NoSQL, and relational databases
  • Collaborate closely with Engineers, Data Scientists, Bioinformaticians, and Product Managers
  • Look beyond the ticket and iterate based on customer feedback and usage data

Requirements:

  • Time spent as a Software Engineer within a start-up/scale-up environment, with a track record of shipping live products
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong experience with React and TypeScript
  • Fluent in GoLang or Python
  • Experience with NoSQL, Neo4J (Graph DB), and relational databases
  • Experience with microservice architectures, containerisation, and K8s deployment (Argo CD)
  • Commitment to quality with experience across a range of automated testing approaches

Nice to have:

  • Experience with DevOps on AWS or GCP
  • Familiarity with geospatial data analysis, frameworks, and formats
  • Previous experience in healthtech / life sciences
  • Node.js is a bonus
