We are seeking a hands-on Assistant General Manager to support daily operations at a full-service hotel in the Royal Oak/Southfield, MI area. This role partners closely with the General Manager to drive operational excellence, lead teams, and deliver outstanding guest and employee experiences across all departments.
Job Responsibility:
Support daily hotel operations across Front Office, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage
Serve as Manager on Duty and lead service recovery efforts
Coach, develop, and engage department leaders and hourly teams
Assist with labor management, scheduling, forecasting, and cost control
Monitor guest satisfaction and implement service improvements
Collaborate with Sales, Maintenance, and Revenue teams
Support hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management
Prepare reports and assist with budgeting and forecasting
Step in for the General Manager as needed
Requirements:
3+ years of hotel management or supervisory experience in a full-service environment
Strong operational knowledge across hotel departments
Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced setting
